Insurance for
your goods.

All deliveries are
insured*.

Your deliveries are in safe hands! To mitigate the risks associated with the delivery service, i-riide has teamed up with Helvetia, a major player in the Swiss insurance sector.

In the event of loss, theft and/or damage during delivery, Helvetia insures your goods up to CHF 40,000 (*). Above CHF 40,000, i-riide offers you the option of insuring your goods at their actual value via an insurance extension. Simply tick the box “Would you like to insure your property for more than CHF 40,000” in the application. – The price of the insurance extension will then be indicated to you before payment.

(*) Please note: A deductible will be applied to any item with an estimated value of over CHF 200.

What is a deductible? A deductible is the amount the insured must pay after a claim (at-fault or not- at-fault). This sum will then be systematically deducted from the compensation.

How does it work?

1. Enter your request in the application (“delivery” section, then “send a package”).

2. Once you have made your choice and paid, your item is automatically insured (*).

3. We recommend that you pack your items carefully, especially if they are fragile! It’s essential that your packaging protects the item from the outside environment, cushions it in case of impact and facilitates handling.

4. Don’t forget to take a photo of your parcel when you hand it over to the delivery man. This is the guarantee you need to prove that your parcel was in good condition when it was delivered.

5. In the event of a dispute, you can contact us directly via the application or at the following address: hello@i-riide.com

Your insurance coverage.

This guarantee applies on condition that the goods are not explosive, illicit or dangerous and/or contrary to public order and morality. It covers all damage that is accidental, unintentional, unforeseeable and originating from an external cause, as well as theft or loss insofar as the latter is accidental.

On the other hand, damage resulting from an inherent defect in the goods is excluded; this is damage inherent in the goods, which removes any element of randomness.
Coverage begins when the parcel is handed over to the delivery agent for shipment, and ends when it is delivered. The insurer cannot guarantee damage after delivery.

List of prohibited and uninsured items: Stolen objects, firearms, works of art, fireworks, illicit substances, prepared foods, counterfeit products, live or dead animals, human organs and remains, narcotics and psychotropic substances, explosive, inflammable or radioactive materials, weapons, medicines, tobacco, asbestos, used for civil or military purposes, objects of any kind containing pornographic images or representations of minors.
